Toshiba Corporation has received an order to supply a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) for a power frequency regulation project in Hamilton, Ohio. The SCiB has found numerous applications, including in electric and hybrid vehicles. In Europe, Toshiba has supplied BESS to projects in Italy, Spain, and the UK.

The 10-year agreement calls for GE’s baseline commitment of 500,000 gallons annually of the low-emissions jet fuel to be used at the company’s main jet engine testing facility in Peebles, Ohio.
