Households with plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) and smart meters actively managed how, when and where they charged their cars based on electricity rates but rarely took advantage of online feedback, according to a two-year study by a team at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Renewable and Sustainable Energy Institute ( RASEI ).

The Prius PHEV has already made its European debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show debut, and Toyota is doing its American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. before trucking back to Home Sweet Bisbee.

Toyota still has not made any money on the Prius. Another point; a Jetta diesel has near the same mileage as a Prius and the Jetta Blue TDI will exceed the Prius.
