In late April 2015, Geely Auto deployed a first-of-its-kind fleet of 150 methanol-fueled taxis in the southern Chinese city of Guiyang in cooperation with the municipal government. CRI is presenting at the 4 th Conference on CO 2 as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers , being held at the end of September in Essen, Germany.

The combination of harvesting whole forests and burning long-sequestered carbon sources such as coal or oil has impaired the Earth’s carbon cycle at an increasing pace. All we really need in addition to fleets of new paradigm vehicles are additional solar and wind generation sources.

The first buyers will be fleet users, which will build central fast-charging facilities. Both will be sold first in China, primarily to fleet users: the government, post office, utilities, and taxi companies, all of which will build central fast-charging facilities. The E6 will hit the Chinese market later this year.

The government will make direct grants to automakers (as we do, of course) and also provide “subsidies of up to $8,800 are being offered to taxi fleets and local government agencies in 13 Chinese cities for each hybrid or all-electric vehicle they purchase.” I’m eager to meet him and learn more about this remarkable company.
