Energy use by households (the burning of wood, gas, coal etc) is the most important source of PM 2.5 The data viewer can show emission trends for the main sectors and allows comparison of emissions between different countries and activities. The residential sector is an important source of several pollutants.

That way you have a fair basis of comparison, you know, apples to apples and all that jazz. Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal. Honda has probably sold more Civics in a year than the combined total of all 18 of those GM models.
