Under the government’s energy and climate policies, the total number of electric cars, buses, vans and trucks is expected to rise to 145 million, or 7% of road transportation by the end of the decade. That will save net reduction of Exajoules of energy and 846 million tonnes of CO2 emissions over the deployed vehicles lifetime.
