The goal of these meetings is to get input on the state’s Climate Change Action Plan, also known as the Scoping Plan, that is currently being developed to cut greenhouse gases 40% by 2030. The statewide meetings are being organized by the EJAC with the help of the ARB. Development of the Scoping Plan is a central requirement of AB 32.

The Scoping Plan describes the comprehensive range of efforts California must take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020 and meet the state’s long-term goals to combat climate change. What steps must California now take to meet the state’s climate goals beyond 2020? per year from 2017–2025.
