In 2018, the Government will publish a comprehensive Clean Air Strategy which will address other sources of air pollution. The UK assesses air quality, as well as legal compliance with these obligations, via a combination of monitoring data and modeling.

Secretary Bowles set the limit today at the statutory maximum of 25 percent and released the Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2020, which contains a portfolio of policies designed to meet the limit.
