Chinese EV brand Leapmotor, which entered into a binding agreement to sign a joint venture (JV) with the Amsterdam-based Stellantis, concluded the deal in a short span of 7 months on Tuesday. Adding a third brand would draw more buyers to these showrooms that currently retail Jeep and Citroen models.

Jeep is now part of Stellantis Group, and the Avenger shares a powertrain with the updated versions of the Peugeot 2008, Citroen e-C4, Opel Mocha, Opel Astra, and similar Stellantis BEVs. But then if I look at production cost, India is in a very good spot.

Comically, countryfolk Citroen and Renault employ the same technique. The rear lights are even better. I could drive-away a Tesla Model 3 RWD (513km range) for around $66,000, while Chinese SUV rivals like the BYD Atto 3 and MG4 offer better specs for less. I like them light, playful and eager for lift-off oversteer.
