The local importer has confirmed the BYD ute will be tested in Australia in late 2023 and 2024 ahead of an on-sale later in 2024. Hummer used to be a stand-alone brand of heavy-duty 4x4s that GM killed off during the Global Financial Crisis. It has now re-established it as an electrified sub-brand of GMC.

Musk added that since the beginning, Tesla has not pushed for EV subsidies , and even the $7,500 tax credit that the company maxed out was mostly due to GM’s lobbying in the past. . So there’s no need for this support for a charging network. Obviously, there’s asset-based taxes, the sales tax, and everything else.

It’ll be on sale in 2025, possibly as the A9 e-Tron. BMW M cars – they’re coming with hybrid drivetrains. Chevrolet Bolt EUV – SUV version of Bolt hatchback on sale in America but unlikely in Australia. And if we’re guessing, we reckon it could be called the Ranger Lightning (see above).

Finally, in a first-of-its-kind partnership in the United States, Mitsubishi announced a strategic alliance with Oregon to develop an electric car charging infrastructure in the state.
