Look, there are times in history when combining two seemingly divergent designs has resulted in triumphant success. It’s got an almost identical design to my own Minghong electric car that I tested out early last year (at least, it’s like mine when viewed from head-on). The humor here isn’t only in the vehicle design though.

With the vast majority of battery fires originating from poorly produced Chinese batteries designed for ultra-cheap e-bikes and e-scooters, it appears the Chinese government is attempting to address the issue head-on. In fact, some major Chinese manufacturers alone produce tens of millions of e-bikes and e-scooters each year.

On France’s main car classifieds website there are 80 Seres 3s for sale, many with delivery mileage and costing less than list price. Design-wise, the cabin – like the Seres 3’s exterior – isn’t half bad. Oh, and I like the air vent design. Seems French buyers agree. What makes it so very bad?
