AC/DC EV charging In the brochure you may have noticed mentions of AC and DC charging. All you need to know is that AC charging is slower and DC charging faster. Your home powerpoint supplies about 2.3kW, whereas a public DC charger can supply up to 350kW – about 150 times faster.

Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. Wind, hydro, DC transmission lines, and smart grid electronics are also Portland strengths. — Larry 4.
