BMW begins Phase 2 of ChargeForward Program with PG&E to study advanced electric vehicle charging; results from Phase 1

BMW unveils i3 BEV and i8 PHEV Concepts

The i8 Concept features a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) drive with a system output of 260 kW and a range of up to 35 km (22 miles)in all-electric mode. The space requirements of the electric motor used in the BMW i3 Concept have been reduced by 40% compared with the motor used in the MINI E. Optional range extender.
