BAE Systems has been selected by Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) and the Republic of Ireland’s National Transport Authority (NTA) to supply up to 600 electric power and propulsion systems for its new fleet of buses in Ireland. This also eliminates the need for cities to add costly charging infrastructure.

The study—“Energy Behaviour Of Toyota Prius Hybrid Vehicles In Sample Irish Commuting Conditions”—was carried out by four UCD academics and commissioned by Toyota Ireland through ConsultUCD, the University’s managed consultancy service. However, our self-charging petrol electric hybrids have no such limitations.

UK-based Elektromotive has appointed The PluginCompany to install networks of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Belgium and Luxembourg. Installations at other LeasePlan locations will follow in 2010, supporting the company’s commitment to increasing the availability of low- and zero-emissions vehicles within its European fleets.

UK based Elektromotive is making headway in the electric vehicle recharging market after appointing ThePluginCompany to install networks of charging stations across Belgium and Luxembourg. Elektromotive has also exported its technology to the Netherlands, Iceland, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Germany and Sweden.
