Eaton Corporation is collaborating with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) on a prototype integrated solar-assisted electric vehicle charging station to be erected at EPRI’s research laboratory in Knoxville, Tenn. All subsystems are linked by being grid-tied.

Nissan provided a list of the top 15 markets in the US for the Nissan LEAF battery-electric vehicle. LEAF is among the top ten best-selling vehicles, regardless of powertrain. The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities will receive funding to purchase battery electric buses, associated charging infrastructure and a back-up generator to maintain bus service in a disaster situation. The charging infrastructure is an integral part of PSTA's long-term battery electric bus program.
