This is a move that GM, Ford and whatever’s left of Chrysler should have made, but it’s too creative, too bold and too American for any of those legacy car companies to pull off in the 21st century. You might as well call most of the cars they’re selling “future clunkers.&# Really Ford? Are you kidding me?

Iconic design, two-tone paint, three rows, AWD; whatever you call it, the Buzz won’t be cheap. VW quotes a maximum charging rate of 170 kilowatts, and DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity in about 20 minutes (under ideal circumstances). The third row can be removed entirely. 4s sold in Canada.

BMW M cars – they’re coming with hybrid drivetrains. Don’t hold your breath for Australia… Chrysler luxury EV – now part of Stellantis, Chrysler has big EV plans, including a high-tech luxury EV that was previewed as a concept. But the open-top fun machine ain’t cheap! Soon, apparently.

Finally, in a first-of-its-kind partnership in the United States, Mitsubishi announced a strategic alliance with Oregon to develop an electric car charging infrastructure in the state. The big problems now is how to create a battery that can charge rapidly and infrastructure to charge them. If you charge with solar, is way less.
