Save for the trio of large exhaust outlets and the probably not necessary optional carbon-fiber spoiler, there's little of the "boy racer" styling of the Civic Type R.

The steering is a mix of artificial lightness and appropriate weight. One thing that’s appealing about the Supra – and its nearest rival, the Nissan Z – is that while it’s not exactly cheap, it’s not crazy expensive, either. Supras, especially ones equipped with the six, are swift. The flaws remain, too. Entry and exit are awkward.
