Initial sales of the 2014 Cadillac ELR extended range electric luxury coupe ( earlier post ) will begin in January in all major US metropolitan areas. And as anticipated by automakers in recent weeks, the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq don’t yet make the list, while the Ford Mustang Mach-E is for now completely disqualified. It can do this with little disruption to the way homes and industry purchase and use energy today. We can set a goal to have every new vehicle purchased be a PHEV. This does not mean that you will not be able to buy that Cadillac or Corvette you have been admiring. The so-called Extended Range Electric Vehicle or EREV or BEVx.
