As part of its worldwide regionalization strategy, Volkswagen is planning to expand its business presence significantly in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is planned to initially build the Volkswagen Polo and Passat models.

While attending IEEE Smart Village’s Power Africa conference in 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda, she met GHE founder Paras Loomba. The IEEE volunteers installed an 11-kilowatt photovoltaic system on the roof of the school’s main building. The school can use the money to purchase batteries and other replacement parts.
