Nissan to provide LEAFs and LEAF-to-Home power supplies to roadside rest stations in Japan

Nissan Motor Co., plans to donate 47 Nissan LEAF all-electric zero-emission EVs and “LEAF-to-Home” power supply systems ( earlier post ) to roadside rest area stations in all of Japan’s 47 prefectures. The lithium-ion batteries of Nissan LEAF can store 24 kWh of electricity. Nissan LEAF to go on sale in South Africa.

Daimler & Renault-Nissan Alliance expand cooperation to 1-ton pickup trucks

The Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG are expanding their five-year strategic cooperation ( earlier post ) into the pickup truck segment. Together, Nissan and Daimler will develop a 1-ton pickup truck for Mercedes-Benz. The primary target markets for the truck are Europe, Australia, South Africa and Latin America.

Mercedes-Benz Vans shows pickup truck concepts; market launch in late 2017; diesel V6
