GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. The Chevrolet Volt was a purpose-built plug-in hybrid, with an electric motor driving the car and a small gas engine that charged the small battery when it was depleted. BMW’s electric i sub-brand started with the quirky i3. I’m hoping for the latter.
