In January GM announced the Volt, a smart idea that makes use of the two existing primary energy infrastructures - the electric grid and gasoline stations. Sharon Terlep's story doesn't mention it, but in the hydrogen Volt GM has made another arbitrary decision, as announced on GM's Volt blog. Write CARB.

Finally, in a first-of-its-kind partnership in the United States, Mitsubishi announced a strategic alliance with Oregon to develop an electric car charging infrastructure in the state. at least, the recycling infrastructure for the well-established lead-acid batteries is robust. So why don’t journalist ever write the full story?

Price tag: about $25,000, made from 95% recyclable materials with a top speed of 65 miles per hour and range of 110 miles per charge. Depending upon where you live, power plants are often burning natural resources. My personal criteria for an EV is 80/80 MPH/miles range, but thats because drivers either go 80 or stopped around here.
