Volvo Cars China and Shanghai International Automobile City Group—a local government supervision authority— will undertake a demonstration program with two Volvo C30 Electric cars in the community of Jiading outside Shanghai. The Volvo Car Corporation has begun production of the C30 Electric ( earlier post ); initial deliveries to leasing customers, mainly companies, authorities and governmental bodies, will take place immediately after the summer. The car is recharged from a regular household power socket. A full recharge takes about 7 hours.
