After about a year of intensive practical use by ten customers in Germany and Switzerland, eight of the purely battery-powered Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks are now successively going to new customers in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Lithium-ion batteries with 240 kWh supply the energy for the eActros.

Toyota Motor Europe (TME) Fuel Cell Business will supply and integrate fuel cell modules into a zero-emission train prototype as part of the FCH2RAIL project in Europe. On the remaining sections of the lines, diesel-powered trains are used. Where energy is available from overhead lines, the train takes the energy from them.
