As of 2018, Audi Brussels will produce exclusively the commercial version of Audi’s e-tron quattro battery-electric SUV ( earlier post ). The plant will also produce its own battery packs. The Audi Q3, currently produced in Spain, will be built in Győr (Hungary) in the future. Rupert Stadler.

Mercedes is coming to IAA Mobility with five new EVs: the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS , the new EQB , the new EQE , the new Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 4MATIC+ , and the Concept EQG. Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS. It will be the first purely electrically powered production vehicle from the Kecskemét plant in Hungary.

At the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Samsung SDI introduced a next-generation high-energy density battery cell that could lead to EV driving ranges of up to 600 km (373 miles) and that can fast charge in 20 minutes. A conventional EV battery module which consists of 12 cells has a capacity of 2~3kWh.
