Combined sales of BMW i, BMW iPerformance and MINI Electric vehicles were up 52% in April (9,831), bringing the total number of electrified BMW Group cars sold to over 250,000, said Pieter Nota, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Sales and Brand BMW. on the same period last year.

Stellantis partner Samsung SDI hinted at the possibility of building a new EV battery factory in the United States. Stellantis and SDI entered into a multi-billion-dollar joint venture (JV) in October 2021 to produce lithium-ion batteries for the North American market.
