It's a 2002 Saturn SL1 with 220,000 miles and a rough engine, however it still runs. In the end I went with what was available and what I could afford. Remy to Supply HVH250 Electric Motors to Advanced Mechanical Products for EV Conversions

The first two vehicles available for AMP conversions are the GM Saturn Sky and the GM Pontiac Solstice. The end product is an all-electric vehicle with a range of up to 150 miles per charge. The pack carries a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. AMP expects the battery packs to retain 80% of their capacity up to 100,000 miles.

The “AMP’d” Equinox is an up-fitted GM Chevrolet Equinox that will reach a top speed of 90 mph (145 km/h), and will accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in approximately eight seconds. General Motors will debut its two-mode plug-in hybrid technology—originally intended to appear first in a Saturn VUE, prior to that brand’s sale—in a new Buick crossover vehicle in 2011. In early testing, the plug-in hybrid is capable of electric-only propulsion for more than 10 miles at low speeds.
