The Westport HD System offers class-leading performance for heavy-duty on-road Class 8 trucks and allows trucking fleets to move to lower-cost, domestically available and low-carbon natural gas and/or biogas. The Westport GX is available in power ratings of 400-475hp (298-354 kW) and torque ratings of 1450-1750 lb-ft (1966-2373 N·m).

Kenworth Truck Company and Peterbilt Motor Company will expanding their alternative fuel line-up by offering the Cummins Westport ISX12 G heavy duty natural gas engine ( earlier post ) for use in regional haul, vocational and refuse markets. Peterbilt uses the ISL G and Westport GX engine. Next-generation Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.

At the Mid-America Trucking show, PACCAR companies Kenworth and Peterbilt introduced more fuel efficient version of their heavy-duty models: the Kenworth T680 Advantage and the Peterbilt Model 579 with EPIQ package. The MX-13/Fuller package is also available in a standard T680, with about a 2% improvement in fuel economy.)

Exclusively available in California, Toyota sold 2,737 Mirais in 2023. This is impressive as there are only 55 operating hydrogen fuel stations in the state and the availability of hydrogen is sometimes spotty. The standard and available advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) are extensive and include the latest safety technology.

Westport anticipates first availability of customer products in late 2014 and 2015. Westport first-generation HPDI systems have been delivered on more than 1,200 Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks since its first wide-scale introduction in 2010.
