The luxury Genesis brand is outpacing rivals, closing in on Porsche and Land Rover in sales as its all-electric models expand into new states. A big reason for the optimism is Genesis’ electric vehicles. Genesis sells three electric vehicles in the US: the GV60, Electrified GV70, SUV, and Electrified G80 sedan.

Genesis Motor America announced the start of sales of its first electric vehicle, the GV60 ( earlier post ). The Genesis GV60 enters the US market with a number of available world-first automotive features, including Face Connect and a Crystal Sphere. Customers may contact their Genesis retailer regarding availability.

Honda last week announced key targets for sales of electrified vehicles in North America, with a plan to make battery-electric and fuel cell electric vehicles (BEVs and FCEVs) to represent 100% of its vehicle sales by 2040, progressing from sales of 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2035. Genesis announced US pricing for its first electric executive sedan, the 2023 Electrified G80. The brand also announced the expansion of electric vehicle sales at select retailers located in four more states—Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Washington—beginning in September. 136 kW Front + 136 kW Rear Electric Motor.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E all-electric vehicle became the first EV to pass the rigorous testing standards set by the Michigan State Police to have a vehicle be considered for inclusion in its fleet. Previous years of testing are available here , but only combustion engine vehicles have been assessed before 2021. 18 and 20.

The 3,800 team members, as Hyundai calls them, are building the all-new 2023 Genesis Electrified GV70 that joins electric models of the GV60 EV and the Electrified G80 , both of which are assembled in South Korea. Both GV70s share a platform that was specifically designed for a gasoline engine and electric motors.
