The expectation is batteries using this new technology will result in standard battery packs with up to 600 miles of range and the ability to fast-charge in less than 15 minutes as well as being able to put up with multiple fast-charging sessions. Ford and BMW have invested in the solid state battery start-up Solid Power.

It’s not the fastest EV on the market today, but it’s no slouch. The top speed of 117 mph for the AWD version is close to the performance BMW i4 M50 we recently tested. In looking at the current crop of new EVs on the market today, it ranks in the top 3 new BEVs along with the Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Polestar 2.

Automakers agree on common plug to recharge electric vehicles by Darren Murph , posted Apr 19th 2009 at 4:24PM Just hours after General Motors put forth a proposal for a standardized plug for electric vehicles , in flies this. The US standard is 120V@60hz the UK standard is 240V@50Hz. Same goes for video cables.
