Yamaha is coming up with a range of 68 km due to two interchangeable battery packs on the bike scooter (50.4 Ah Li-ion batteries). Everything from all-LED lights to a touchscreen display with smartphone connection and an in-built SIM card to regenerative brakes and driving modes (Eco, Normal and Power) are included in the package.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Its been improving over time, but the power density and cost issues are still steep for what exists thus far. The car is expected to cost around $40,000.
