Chevy announced that the 2025 Silverado EV will have lower prices, more driving range, and new trim options. Although the 2024 model was “already the range leader,” according to Chevrolet vice president Scott Bell, the 2025MY “set the bar even higher.” The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV LT starts at $75,195 and runs up to 408 miles.

A number of Chevrolet dealers across the nation are advertising a new 2024 Silverado EV in 3WT trim at around $60K, which is close to where Hertz is pricing year-old low-mileage examples of the fully electric pickup that are being culled from its rental fleet. At $74,900, including destination, the Silverado EV 3WT is perhaps a bit pricey.

On Tuesday, industry sources revealed (via KED Global ) Hyundai is developing a next-gen powertrain for extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs). The system includes a fuel-based power unit to extend an electric vehicle’s range. An electric generator charges the vehicle’s battery, enabling longer ranges.
