And I’m one those million since they’re counting plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) as well as full battery electrics. I think that’s fair since on a good day my 3 ½-year-old Chevrolet Volt has a 61-mile all-electric range, roughly comparable to a used Nissan Leaf or Fiat 500e. On top of that, I’m currently running at 80+% electric miles.

Eight partnering states released their Multi-State ZEV Action Plan as the first promised milestone for the bi-coastal collaboration to pave the way for increasingly large numbers of zero emission vehicles: plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

In November 2007, Chevrolet began Project Driveway, the largest demonstration fleet of hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicles in the world. The one thing we all have in common is our interest in seeing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles lead to replacing gas stations with the Hydrogen Highway. The car isn’t for sale.
