Samsung SDI building Li-ion battery plant in Hungary; global triangular production structure

Samsung SDI has decided to use Hungary as its Li-ion battery production base in Europe. The new battery plant will be built in Goed, north of Budapest in a 330,000 m 2 site, using existing facilities previously used for display production.

Si anode company LeydenJar secures €30M EU backing for silicon anode foil factory

The company will invest €60 million in the construction of its first production facility, called “Plant One”, of which €30 million comes from a European Investment Bank (EIB) loan facility. Volvo Receives Order for Twelve 7700 Hybrid Buses in Norway
