The DQ 400 E hybrid transmission is also being applied in the upcoming Audi A3 plug-in hybrid. The Volkswagen brand is responsible for the MQB; the Audi brand for the MLB; and Porsche for the MSB (which is sporty). A DC/DC converter supplies the body electrical system with the 12 Volt electrical power it requires.
