Starting this week, insurance registration data will no longer be available, with Li Auto's sharing a surprise exception. The major sources that provide insurance registration data for China's auto industry have stopped sharing the data, but Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has shared content that allows us to still have access to some of the data.

Audi rounded out the top three spots. Outside the top 20, BYD made its first measurable deliveries of the Atto 3 (approximately 34 units). The remaining ranks are more closely distributed, with MG and Audi in 2nd and 3rd spots. of which the MG4 was the second best seller after the Model Y.

Polestar and BYD were two of the new EV brands that arrived during the year and brands as diverse as Volkswagen and GWM confirmed their intention to start selling electric vehicles here in 2023. The BYD Atto 3 was my biggest surprise of 2022. The Audi e-Tron GT , Kia EV6 GT and Hyundai Ioniq 5 N would be at the top of that list.
