A group of US automobile dealers filed a lawsuit (Case 1:12-cv-01935-TWT) on 4 June with the United States District Court, Northern District Of Georgia, Atlanta Division accusing the Indian truck manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra, Ltd. Mahindra told the dealers that its light trucks and SUVs were ready for delivery to the US market.

Rivian an Amazon-backed electric vehicle maker has announced a new $5 billion electric vehicle factory in Atlanta, Georgia. The Rivian has just started production of its first electric vehicles such as the R1T electric pickup truck and R1S electric SUV at its factory in Illinois. It will be the second factory in Georgia.

The introduction of the all-new 2023 GV70 EV (or Electrified GV70 in Genesis talk to distinguish it from the gas-powered GV70) follows stablemates G80 EV and GV60 EV , giving the seven-year-old company a compact and midsize EV SUV, along with a midsize sedan powered only by electricity. The GV70 EV’s all-electric range is rated at 236 miles.

2024 Cadillac Lyriq Sport trim (Source: Cadillac) General Motors says it is responding to a strong demand for luxury EVs by ramping up production of its Cadillac all-electric Lyriq SUV this year. Back in 2020, about 20% of Cadillac’s US dealers, some 170 to 180 dealers, took buyouts from GM rather than invest, sell, and service EVs.
