I spent a day with a rented Tesla Model 3 on a recent trip to Los Angeles, and I’m here to tell you that the Model 3, like the company that made it, is equal parts innovation and exasperation. But this car’s power is best enjoyed on the highway - you just leap right from 50-60 mph into triple-digit speeds without the slightest effort.

She certainly is staring at us intensely as we pilot the bright-white three-wheeled craft down the street, gingerly depressing the brake pedal to make sure were under the 30-mph speed limit. Then were around the corner, she disappears from our rearview mirror and we hit the accelerator. It is also amazing how stable a three-wheeler can be.

Even this article keeps showing the old futuristic version model which GM said can’t be done. The fuel engine on the Volt is used to run the generator to recharge the battery when a trip exceeds 40 miles, and it’s rage on a full tank is around 400 miles.
