Electric car company Aurica Motors, which plans to retool the NUMMI plant in California to build not only electric cars but compatible battery charging stations ( earlier post ), has entered two partnerships in support of its mission. Motive develops concept vehicles for major automakers such as Dodge, Hyundai, Suzuki, Chrysler, and Toyota.

Aptera – US-based company claims to have created the world’s most efficient vehicle with the three-seat F1-inspired Aptera. BMW iX – ground-up battery electric vehicle promises to take the luxury fight to Tesla. No Australian plans yet, with the company focusing on America first then Europe.

If the hybrids engine starts operating, at higher speeds or throttle demands or lower battery levels, the control system automatically stops the external synthesis. When the powertrain control system switches the car back to running on the electric motor only, the synthesis controller instantaneously sets the system running again.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Daimler/Mercedes Took over Daimler/Chrysler Sprinter PHEV program. Batteries not ready. Hyundai Partnering with Korean battery companies for hybrids.
