Chevron Corporation’s Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited subsidiary will proceed with the development of the Mafumeira Sul project located offshore Angola. Located 15 miles (24 km) offshore Cabinda province in 200 feet (60 m) of water, the Mafumeira Sul project is the second stage of development of the Mafumeira Field located in Block 0.

Statoil defines a high-impact well as offering a total of more than 250 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), or 100 million boe net to Statoil. The well, which is being drilled by the Stena DrillMAX drillship, is located some 195 kilometers (121 miles) offshore Rio de Janeiro State in 2,800 meters (9,186 feet) of water.

Total and its joint venture partners have made the final investment decision to develop the ultra-deep offshore Kaombo project in Angola.
