The California state legislature passed and the Governor signed into law a bill ( AB-2663 ) that lowers the Use Fuel Tax rate of dimethyl ether (DME) from $0.18 per gallon of DME-propane fuel blend used on or after 1 July 2021 (the same tax rate as propane, $0.06 President and CEO of Oberon Fuels. per gallon).

Charging station owners or operators are required to remit the tax monthly using prescribed forms provided by the Oklahoma Tax Commission. In Pennsylvania , there is an existing alternative fuel tax in effect. Utah is set to implement a new kWh tax in January 2024.

The plan as outlined also calls for further work on advanced biofuels, advanced batteries and fuel cell technologies in every transportation mode.
