Four new corporate partners—Best Buy, Johnson Controls, Pacific Gas and Electric, and Veolia—are joining the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Clean Fleets Partnership, a broad public-private partnership that assists the nation’s largest fleet operators in reducing the amount of gasoline and diesel they use nationwide.

These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The project will deploy 502 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles through 119 public and private fleets throughout the state.

The expansion will include on-site fueling stations in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas. UPS began using LNG tractors in its delivery fleet in 2002. By 2017, our goal is to reach one billion miles driven by our alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet.
