The EPA has rated the GV80’s fuel economy at 21 mpg city/25 highway/23 combined. It wasn’t easy, but cracking 30 mpg on the open road was a nice surprise in this size of car. I have reviewed several crossovers and SUVs that directly, or closely compete, with the GV80. For me, this tops the list. It just may for you too.

Hyundai debuted the Palisade in 2020 to nearly unanimous reviews and praise for its design, features and value. The EPA rates the fuel economy at 19 city/24 highway/21 combined. mpg, but did a bit better on a 207-mile freeway run with the smart cruise control set at 65 mph, achieving 25.1 Three-Row SUV Comparison.

For a comparison, we did have the opportunity to drive the 2022 Subaru Forester Wilderness (smaller and lighter than the Outback Wilderness) through the Oregon mountains on some loose rocks and gravel, washboard roads and even deep ruts.
