In 240 miles driving around Southern California we averaged 23 mpg, but in a 100-mile run with the adaptive cruise control set at 65 mph, we averaged 31.2 This fuel economy is encouraging, but it will take a wide open road with little traffic and lots of patience to equal it. Zero-to-60 mph times were right around 5.0

Did the delightful times I’ve spent in the e-Golf and the backing of one of the world’s largest auto companies take me down a path of unreasonable suppositions? 4 through the route I encountered more traffic than usual so ended up with an average speed of 34 mph.
