The National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) was approved in September 2022 with a $5 billion boost to help install fast chargers along interstate highways in all 50 states. Under the NEVI program, all states (as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico) have access to NEVI formula funding.

Rather than having the braking energy be dissipated, the ENVILINE Energy Recuperation System (ERS) saves the surplus braking energy of the train by returning it back to the AC grid. When used with batteries, ESS can also provide emergency power and generate revenues by participating in the local energy markets.
