The Passat GTE leverages the Volkswagen Group’s MQB-based plug-in hybrid powertrain, also seen in the VW Golf GTE and the Audi A3 e-tron. liter TSI engine and electric motor for maximum power output of 218 PS (215 hp, 160 kW) and a driving range of more than 600 miles (965 km), with up to 31 miles (50 km) of that in all-electric mode.
