The Clean Vehicle Assistance Program, run by the Oakland-based nonprofit Beneficial State Foundation, was launched with a $5-million CARB grant. The California Air Resources Board announced a new statewide grant and loan program to help lower-income consumers across California get into the cleanest new and used cars on the market.

The pilot is being offered to select Ford Credit customers in California—including Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco; as well as in Portland, Oregon; Chicago and Washington, D.C. The service offers customers flexible, practical and affordable access to a fleet of cars for one-way journeys with easy parking throughout London.

And surprisingly, there aren’t enough publicly available EV chargers in my area (Oakland and Berkeley, CA) to be able to reliably charge when I need to. The answer is that both new and existing apartment and condo communities need a reliable, affordable EV charging solution that meets the needs of their residents.
