Last July, the Swedish automaker, which is owned by Chinese behemoth Geely, delayed production of the flagship Volvo EX90 electric SUV, citing software issues surrounding its LiDAR system. The Volvo EX30 will be produced in China until another production line in Ghent, Belgium, is up and running from 2025.

The transport minister stated this month that Tesla mustn’t promote Chinese language vehicles made in India and as alternative manufacture domestically, however, Tesla has indicated it needs to experiment with first imports. The Tesla Model Y sales have topped in August with 790 registrations within less than a week since its arrival.

For that reason, the EX30 stands alone—and that makes it an important, and affordable, EV for this year.
