Audi aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% over the vehicle lifecycle by 2025

Audi has set the goal of successively reducing vehicle-specific CO 2 emissions by 30% by 2025 compared with reference year 2015 and over the entire product lifecycle. As electric cars are more energy-intensive to manufacture than models with combustion engines, Audi has set itself the long-term goal of decarbonizing the supply chain.

Audi unveils its first all-electric racer for Formula E; new powertrain from Audi/Schaeffler

To transmit the power to the wheels, Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler will be using a high-efficiency transmission with only one gear in the 2017/2018 season. Audi is the first German automobile manufacturer to race in Formula E. The brand is taking ABT Sportsline’s slot on the FE grid in the 2017/2018 season.

California ARB readying regulatory options to maintain state LDV GHG standards in event of Federal change

In April 2018, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) completed the Midterm Evaluation (MTE) process for the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions standards for cars and light trucks for model years 2022-2025, and determined that the current standards are not appropriate and should be revised. CARB requests input by 31 May 2018.
