Magna has been awarded a contract to manufacture an all-new INEOS Automotive electric off-road vehicle, expected to start production in Graz, Austria in 2026. In addition to manufacturing, Magna will also be responsible for the engineering of the complete vehicle.

MAN Truck & Bus is working on the post-usage strategy for its electric-vehicle batteries. The aim is to extend the life of the batteries in the first step and, if this is no longer possible, to recycle the raw materials contained in them. This can significantly increase the service life of the battery.

With these latest vehicles, DB Schenker will become FUSO’s largest electric fleet customer with a total of 41 eCanter vehicles in daily operations. DB Schenker has already been using the FUSO eCanter in Berlin since 2018 delivering packaged goods in the city center.

MAN is already well on its way to developing an electric distribution truck, the eTGM, which is scheduled to go into series production in 2021. We plan to deliver the first nine fully electric trucks to our customers in Austria by the end of 2017 – including large supermarket chains, breweries and haulers.
