Nissan, once seen as an EV leader, with the launch of the LEAF in 2010, took over a decade to release its second global EV, the Ariya. Nissan and Mitsubishi have been intertwined since 2016. Nissan expects electrified vehicles to account for 40% of global sales by 2026 and 60% by 2030. Now, it looks to make up for lost time.

Chevrolet has introduced the diesel version ( earlier post ) of its 2016 Colorado midsize pickup truck. Duramax turbo-diesel is part of GM’s global family of turbo-diesel four-cylinder engines, and features a variable-geometry turbocharger for optimal power and efficiency across the rpm band and a balance shaft for greater smoothness.

Chevy already previewed an all-electric compact crossover and a pickup truck, and announced in April that it would build an all-electric Silverado with an estimated 400 miles of rated range at its Factory Zero EV assembly plant in Detroit. The new EUV gains a 3-inch longer wheelbase and another 3.3 inches in added length on top of that.
